WHAT TO WEAR
PICKING AN OUTFIT IS THE BEST WAY TO SHOW YOUR PERSONALITY THROUGH YOUR PHOTOS... so its important to pick the right one!
01 / OPTIONS
Feel free to bring a few different outfits if you'd like to have some options. You can also shoot me some photos of your outfits beforehand if you'd like another opinion. There may or may not be a bathroom at the location we shoot at, so just keep this in mind if you aren't down to change in your car or on the side of the road!
02 / Shoes
Wear something comfortable. 90% of the time, heels are a bad idea.
03 / PERSONALITY
You've got FULL creative freedom when you choose outfits. Pick something that feels like YOU. If your vibe is casual & you hate getting dressed up, don't wear something formal! I would much rather you wear something that best represents your personality.
04 / MOVEMENT
Comfortable & loose or flowy clothes can help show movement & energy in a photo. Anything that can catch wind is encouraged. If it's cold, wear layers to play with. If it's going to be hot, opt for cooler materials that can breathe like linens.
05 / COLORS
I typically recommend neutral colors because they are the most timeless and offer minimal distraction. I also love a pop of color every once in a while! This can work well in big, wide open neutral spaces. If you decide to wear a pop of color, I'd recommend your partner wear something neutral so that things don't feel overwhelming.
06 / PATTERNS
Try to stay away from big / loud patterns because it can feel busy. However, if one person wears a subtle pattern or texture... it can really complement the photo!
Likewise, if the location feels busy, I wouldnt recommend patterns.
08 / Logos
A majority of the time logos can be a huge distraction. Sometimes it works, but it really just depends on the logo. Use your best judgement!
07 / PROPS
Meaningful props are highly encouraged! Bringing your dog or setting up a picnic blanket are both great examples. Accessories like sunglasses, hats, scarves can also make things fun! I don't recommend watches because they can be distracting when couples hold each others faces close up.
